When my little boy Johnathon died on September 26, 1998, I was hopelessly lost in my grief.
Not being the type of person who is comfortable surrounded by a room full of strangers,
live Compassionate Friends meetings did not seem like an option. Instead, I turned to the computer
seeking people who would understand me and my situation. I was amazed at what I found... FRIENDS!!!!
I did not find just pen-pals. I found kindred spirits. For almost four years, eleven of us had corresponded by e-mail.
These wonderful women have become my life-line...my sanity...
We come from all over the USA and Canada. For the first time, all except two of us were able to meet face to face in
New Orleans, Louisiana on June 26, 2002. Kristine and Patty were deeply missed and spoken of often.
We were sad that we could not meet them also.
